TW Newsdesk, June 20:West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on June 20fired out the BJP-led central government over the Agnipath scheme, accusing that the saffron camp was trying to make its own “armed cadre base through the new defense recruitment programme.

Terming the scheme as an insult to the armed forces, Banerjee also stated that she thinks that the BJP plans to hire Agniveer soldiers as “watchmen” at their party offices, after their four-year service period.
