Canada: Covid-19 fatalities cross 50,000

TW Newsdesk, Jan25: This week marked a sombre milestone for Canada as the nation passed the 50,000 mark for the overall number of deaths caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Canadian Public Health Agency (PHAC) updated its coronavirus data on Monday, putting the total at 50,135.

Reports state that Quebec, with 17,865, has seen the most pandemic-related deaths, while Ontario’s total stands at 15,786.
