TW Newsdesk, November 24: Republican Senator Lisa Murkowski and Democratic Representative Mary Peltola of Alaska both won re-election against opponents supported by Donald Trump on November 23, the latest high-profile defeats of contestants supported by the former President.

Peltola and Murkowski surfaced on top after Alaska officials completed tabulating all ballots from the November 8 poll using the state’s new “ranked choice” system, which permits voters to list candidates in order of choice.
