TW Newsdesk, September 22:The Double Asteroid Redirection Test (DART) mission is nearing to its final days when it intentionally crashes on an asteroid to examine a key technology that could be used to deflect asteroids moving towards Earth. On its way, the spacecraft has taken a heavenly route guided by the largest planet in the solar system — Jupiter.

On September 26, the spacecraft will crash into the Didymos binary asteroid system at a speed of 24,000 kilometers per hour to lightly deflect and shift its orbit.
