TW Newsdesk, Feb 08: Following King Charles III’s accession to the throne in September, the British Postal Service (Royal Mail) presented the first postage stamps bearing his likeness on Wednesday, February 8.
The new “definitive stamp,” which will just have the monarch’s head, the stamp’s price, and a barcode, will be available for purchase in stores starting on April 4.
The picture, which Charles personally authorised, is an adaptation of the official effigy that now graces new UK coinage following his coronation as monarch in place of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II.
