TW Newsdesk, Feb 8: For giving information regarding the perpetrators involved in a suicide attack inside a mosque near the Peshawar police headquarters, Pakistan’s Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) has declared an award of Rs.1 crore Pakistani rupees (about US $36,000).
The incident last week resulted in 101 fatalities, the majority of whom were police officers, and several injuries.
According to a report, the CTD said in a statement that anyone providing information about the suicide bomber and his facilitators will be rewarded with Rs.10 million cash and that ‘privacy of the informer will indeed be ensured and the identity of the person giving leads on the suicide bomber or his enablers will be kept secret.’
