TW Newsdesk, June 23:Twelve more deaths were recorded amid floods in Assam onJune 22, taking the death numbers to 100 in the state. Earlier, seven deaths, including of three children, were reported on the same day.
According to the Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA), the Barpeta district has been the worst affected by the floods, affecting over 12 lakh people presently. More than 26 lakh people have been displaced and are presently seeking refuge in 862 relief camps.
