TW Newsdesk, Sep 18: Legal aid work is neglected across the country, CJI UU Lalit said. Lalit added that young law graduates should devote as much time and energy as possible to provide legal aid services.
“I’ve been associated with legal aid work. I don’t mean to complain or show disrespect but legal aid across this country is neglected,” he added during a convocation ceremony.
The legal profession has been among the front runners. That’s when it comes to keeping civil rights intact, he said. He added that the history of every society shows that legal minds have been the beacons and path-breakers when it comes to raising a voice against injustice.
