TW Newsdesk, Jan 24: The Indian dugout rose to its feet and applauded Rohit Sharma’s magnificent century. While everyone appreciated Suryakumar Yadav‘s generosity, it raised some questions.
Rohit Sharma finally reached the century mark, recording his first three-digit total in in than 500 days. The New Zealand captain Tom Latham requested the hosts to bat after Rohit lost the toss, but considering how things turned out, the India skipper had no cause for complaint.
With opening partner Shubman Gill, Rohit scored his 30th ODI century in just 83 balls, putting up an incredible 212-run partnership. The fifth Indian opening combo to record a century in the same game is Rohit and Gill.
