TW Newsdesk, May 13: A total of 30 police personnel has received minor injuries as two groups of villagers have clashed in Maharashtra’s Jalna district. The clashes have taken place over the installation as well as removal of a statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
The clashes all happened due to the naming of a newly-constructed gate across the village after late BJP leader Gopinath Munde. According to police, more than 300 people have been arrested for violence. Three police vehicles were damaged during the incident. Three FIRs have been registered under various IPC sections. This has led to over 300 people being booked, out of which 34 have been arrested, the official informed.
