TW Newsdesk, Jan25: Even though the Odisha tableau was not included in the Republic Day parade in New Delhi this year, the national event would nonetheless feature elements of the state’s culture.

A 10 minute dance performance featuring the Odissi, Jhumura, and Sahi Jata Nacha (Puri) dance styles of Odisha will follow the Ministry of Culture’s tableau at the Republic Day ceremony. The concept will be Nari Shakti, which represents the five elements that are associated with womanhood-earth, water, air, space, and fire.

Four dancers, including Kavita Dwivedi of Odisha, choreographed the piece, which features seven classical and traditional dance styles.
