TW Newsdesk, Nov 23: Priyanka Chopra Jonas just dropped ‘Chopra Jonas’ from her name on Twitter and Instagram, and left the Internet in a tizzy. Social media users soon started speculating that Priyanka and Nick Jonas are headed for a divorce, three years after their wedding. However, a friend of Priyanka’s confirmed to IndiaToday.in that such reports are bogus.
Priyanka Chopra Jonas, on November 22, dropped ‘Chopra Jonas’ from her Instagram and Twitter profiles. Her profile on the photo-sharing platform now reads just Priyanka. When IndiaToday.in contacted a friend of Priyanka’s, they, on condition of anonymity, revealed that rumours of the Citadel actress and Nick Jonas heading for divorce is false.
“These divorce rumours are all amusing. Priyanka is using her first name because she wants to use that in her future projects. There is no truth to any other speculation. Also, she’s not only dropped ‘Jonas’ but ‘Chopra’ as well on social media,” said the friend.
Laughing the matter off, the friend said that Priyanka always breaks the Internet. Well, indeed she’s done it again.
Several social media users were left shocked and confused after Bollywood’s Desi Girl decided to drop her last name. Soon, many of them took to Twitter and started speculating about a rift between Priyanka and her husband Nick.
One fan, however, had an interesting point. He asked what if Nick is taking Priyanka’s surname and will now call himself Nick Jonas Chopra. Now, that will be something!
