TW Newsdesk, Feb 08: Sourav Ganguly, a former India captain, pointed out the lack of hundreds against top teams before the eagerly awaited match and said the next series will be critical for Cheteshwar Pujara.
He is participating in his 100th Test in Delhi, which is a fantastic accomplishment. He will play his 100 Test matches, becoming the 13th Indian to do so, and he fully deserves it. He must, however, also perform at his highest level since, after the previous three years, even he needs a Test hundred against strong opposition. For him, this series would be significant, said Ganguly.
With an unbeaten 102 off 130 balls against Bangladesh in the first Test, Pujara recently snapped a four-year century drought. It was also his quickest century in the lengthier format.
