TW Newsdesk, Feb 08: A plea to hold the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) mayoral election early was made by Shelly Oberoi, a candidate for mayor from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), and others. On Wednesday, February 8, the Supreme Court accepted to take up the matter.

AAP’s legal team submitted documents to the bench of Chief Justice DY Chandrachud, Justices PS Narasimha, and JB Pardiwala asking for the case to be heard right away.
