TW Newsdesk, January 25: In the Telangana town of Manchareddy, the stepmother and father of two young girls were among the seven persons who were detained for trying to sell them.
The parents of the young girls were detained by Kamareddy Police along with the buyers of the kids.
When the girls managed to flee and told the district welfare officer about their experience, the story came to light. They informed the officer that they were being sold into marriage to two guys from Rajasthan in exchange for cash.
