TW Newsdesk, December 5: A 17-year-old student, Vivek, of a pre-university college, drowned in a stream near a waterfall. The accident took place in the Dakshina Kannada district of Karnataka on Saturday, December 3.

As per sources, Vivek and his seven other friends stopped by the stream in Kallanda near Ermayi Falls. He reportedly stepped in to take a bath when he was washed away in the swift current.
