TW Newsdesk, Mar 15: The Puducherry government on March 15, announced holidays for classes 1-8 in government, government-aided and private schools from March 16-26, keeping mind the rising numbers of infections caused by the H3N2 virus.

Puducherry minister A Namassivayam announced that the decision was taken after the Directorate of Health and Family Welfare Services informed that children aged below 15 were more susceptible to the infection.
