TW Newsdesk, Jan25: India might develop its own disaster response strategy that other nations can imitate because it is a large country with various geography, according to Union Minister of Health Mansukh Mandaviya on January 24, Tuesday. According to Mandaviya, India’s model may take inspiration from the finest international practises and go beyond the standard operating procedures (SoPs) to become adaptable and agile to deal with local needs.
While it’s necessary to follow SOPs and learn from international best practises, he said, ‘let’s enrich our model by drawing lessons and insights from the national instances of emergency and disaster response in the past few decades.’
