TW Newsdesk, Jan25: Although Google Maps may be the most popular navigation software in India, local apps are emerging to satisfy local consumers’ needs.
The global market for navigation apps was estimated by Million Insights to be worth US$911.6 million in 2020 and is projected to grow at a CAGR of 10.8% from 2021 to 2028. Due to the growing demand from consumers in China and India for personalised routes for any and all vehicle types, the Asia Pacific region maintained the greatest revenue share of almost 35% in 2020.
With practically every Indian customer using the app, Google Maps is able to capitalise on the growing demand. However, as many of us are aware, Google Maps does not really work due to India’s convoluted addressing systems.
