TW Newsdesk, September 22:Situated 1,50,000 kilometres away from Earth, the James Webb Space Telescope is a marvel of engineering, but it stays vulnerable to the harsh space environment. The spacecraft has now run into a new technical issue following an issue was noticed with its Mid-Infrared Instrument (MIRI).

NASA has pointed out a mechanism that supports one of the four modes of the instrument known as Medium-Resolution Spectroscopy (MRS) to display technical glitches. The medium-resolution spectroscopy showed raised friction during establishment for a science observation on August 4.
