TW Newsdesk, January 25: According to Dr. Anupam Kashyapi, head of the weather forecast department at IMD Pune, after a little respite, a cold wave is likely to hit Maharashtra after January 29 and last till February 2. From January 30, a considerable drop in temperature would be observed, he added.

The meteorological service predicts that Pune, in central Maharashtra, would experience a coldwave-like condition (threshold 10 degrees), while Mumbai’s minimum temperature may fall below average.

Over Afghanistan, a western disturbance is moving eastward. Southwest Rajasthan is experiencing an induced cyclonic circulation as a result of it.
